Player Actions
The core mechanics of our game were the grid-based movement and the range system.As enemies moved at the same time as the player, the clockwise attack was key to give more importance to the direction the dice moves.


UPGRADES & ENVIRONMENT
At first we thought that dices would start as a normal D6 (faces from 1-6) but we ended up with all faces starting at 1.Upgrades let to a great gameplay progression and also gave the player a way to build the dice as they wanted. It also added a little puzzle when players wanted to add a point to the desired face.Environment bricks are used as covers and adding breakable ones leads to subtle changes to the level as the player keeps playing.


SFX
Apart from the art style, sound effects also helped setting up the mood of the game. I also implemented the audio in the game's code.

Unused Mechanics
The time limit of the Game Jam forced us to cut some of the mechanics that we had in mind that would have given the game a little more variety and playability.
